Milan Milosevic

Professor of Clarinet at Vancouver College

Canada

The Légère Reeds enabled me to search for the core of musical expression, without the traditional limitations associated with the reed search & prep and for that alone, they allow for multiple adaptations to a range of different performance environments. Their superior structural design is meant to allow for a perfect response, clarity and warmth throughout the clarinet range.

IT’S FABULOUS TO HAVE SUCH A PEACE OF MIND AND CONFIDENCE OF PLAYING ON THEM FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS NOW!

Milan Milosevic earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in clarinet performance at the University of British Columbia. His educational journey includes studying with Prof. Charles Neidich and Ayako Oshima at the Manhattan School of Music in 1991-92. Milan has also benefited from participating in UBC masterclasses led by renowned clarinet and chamber music performers and educators such as Jesse Read, Yehuda Gilad, Ricardo Morales, David Shifrin, Eddie Daniels, Anton Weinberg, Robert Spring and Milenko Stefanović.

Milan is an Associate Clarinet and Basset Clarinet in the Zagreb String Quartet in Croatia.

In recent years, Milan was honoured with the Canada Council for the Arts Award in 2021 and 2022, alongside recognition from the British Columbia Arts Council Award, the UBC Faculty of Graduate Studies Research Award, and the UBC Graduate Award for Academic Excellence. As a distinguished artist, he represents and is endorsed by Légère Reeds, Canada, and has twice received The Royal Conservatory of Music, Canada, Gold Medal Award for outstanding teaching achievements in 2021 and 2022.
