He made his orchestral debut in 2010 with the TCU Symphony Orchestra performing Alexandre Glazunov’s Concerto for Saxophone as the winner of their annual concerto competition. He appeared with the orchestra again in 2014, performing Henri Tomasi’s Concerto for Saxophone. In 2012, Mr. Korson was selected as one of the top forty collegiate saxophonists in the world to compete in the International Saxophone Symposium and Competition (ISSAC). As a freelance musician, he frequently performs throughout the North Texas region in ensembles such as the Allen Philharmonic, Dallas Civic Wind Ensemble, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Irving Symphony Orchestra and Plano Symphony. He is also the tenor saxophonist in the Metroplex Saxophone Quartet.
Mr. Korson is an endorsing artist for Légère Reeds and plays on Yamaha Saxophones.
