Koen Dries (1986) is a Belgian saxophone player and conductor. He obtained a masters degree in saxophone and conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the direction of professor Norbert Nozy. He obtained a PhD in Arts in 2017 and works as assistant professor of saxophone at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

As a soloist, Koen obtained prizes at national and international competitions. He was a laureate of the VLAMO soloist competition, Dexia Classics and the saxophone competition for young saxophone players in Dinant. He was awarded with a scholarship for young talents from the Flemish Government and obtained the prize “Ingeborg Köberle” from the conservatory for his exceptional study results at the conservatory of Brussels.
