Eddie Chung is a budding multi-instrumentalist based in Hong Kong, who recently graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a BMus (Hons) in Oboe and Cor Anglais performance, with a second study in multi-woodwind. Their studies at RWCMD were supported by the David and Philippa Seligman Award, and they were commended in the 2025 Howarth of London Double Reed Prize, as well as won the 2025 Crowthers of Canterbury Oboe Prize.
Eddie is currently a freelance woodwind performer and educator in Hong Kong, most recently having played Solo Oboe D'amore with the Hong Kong Doujin Philharmonia, as well as Clarinets and Bassoon on The Hong Kong Singers' 2026 production of Into the Woods. They are very comfortable playing auxiliary woodwind instruments, having played Lead Tenor Saxophone for the RWCMD Saxophone Choir, and Principal Cor Anglais for RWCMD/WNO Side by side projects and RWCMD Symphony Orchestra concerts.
