Cristian Battaglioli

He has performed with orchestras such as the “Petruzzelli Orchestra” of Bari, “I Pomeriggi Musicali” of Milan and the “Haydn Orchester von Bozen und Trient”. He has worked with conductors such as Daniele Rustioni, Titus Engl, Jonathan Webb and Jean Deroyer.
In 2014 he founds the Duo Granato with pianist Marco Rinaudo and has held several recitals with this ensemble all over Italy, amongst winning several music competitions. The Duo Granato was the first italian group winning the “Premio Città di Padova”. In 2015 the group records the first CD “Desert Sketches” with works by Paul Creston, Robert Muczynski, Wijnand van Klaveren, Jacques Ibert and Nino Rota.
With the Virtuoso Saxophone Quartet he played at the International Saxophone Festival SaxArts of Faenza, at the EXPO of Milan and in Vilnius.
In 2016 Cristian was selected to participate at the Boulder International Chamber Music Competition in Boulder (Colorado, USA) with the Duo Granato.
Cristian Battaglioli has played in cities such as: Milan (Teatro dal Verme; Duomo), Bari (La Vallisa; Teatro Petruzzelli), Venezia (Palazzo Albrizzi), Padova (Palazzo Zacco Armeni), Bolzano, Trento, Rovereto, Vilnius, Riva del Garda, Faenza, Fasano and many more. In 2013 he has had an exchange semester at the “Fontys Conservatory” of Tilburg with Ties Mellema.
