Chia-Chia Wu
Taiwan-Based Saxophonist and Educator
Taiwan
Légère reeds give me the freedom to focus entirely on music — stable, effortless, and expressive in every performance.

A passionate musician from Taiwan, Chia-Chia began her artistic journey with piano and vocal training, eventually falling in love with the saxophone and embracing a path filled with diverse artistic expressions. Throughout her studies and performances, she has also taken part in theatrical and musical productions, reflecting her deep love for various forms of performing arts and her enthusiasm for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Her musical style spans classical, jazz, pop, and Latin genres. Whether interpreting elegant classical works, engaging in spontaneous jazz improvisation, or performing vibrant pop and Latin melodies, she transitions effortlessly between styles. In addition to saxophone performance, she is known for her warm and distinctive singing voice, skillfully using music to tell stories and convey the subtle emotions of everyday life.
With a captivating tone and heartfelt interpretations, she brings music beyond the stage—into daily life, where it becomes a companion and expression of personal experience. Currently, she teaches in the music program at Keelung Senior High School and directs saxophone ensembles at various elementary, junior high, and high schools. She is also an active advocate for adult music education. Chia-Chia has been invited to perform and promote music at jazz festivals and instrumental music events throughout Taiwan, hoping to inspire others with the joy and freedom that music brings.
"Légère reeds give me a stable, effortless, and flexible playing experience. Whether in teaching, theater, concerts, or daily practice, they provide a bright yet delicate sound, allowing me to focus on musical expression instead of worrying about the condition of my reeds."
