I believe these reeds are the future. They have obvious benefits for woodwind doubling (reeds never drying out, embouchure adjustment always exactly the same at every instrument change). But they're also great for me in my theater orchestra pit where it's as dry as a bone, and any inconsistency you get with a cane reed, woolliness, muddiness or graininess, is magnified. With the Légère reeds these inconsistencies have vanished. They're completely pure and clean sounding even in that dry environment and I'm forever thanking my lucky stars that I've got them. You can really trust them - and you can't with a cane reed.
