Xuanti Qiu，Clarinet professor of College of Arts, Huazhong University of Science and Technology

Completed the Bachelor degree from the Conservatory of Music in Cesena, Italy and the Master degree from the Conservatory of Music in Modena, Studied under maestro Corrado Giuffredi, Piero Vincenti, Fabrizio Meloni.

Have been honored to have received the guidance of Giammarco Casani, Calogero Palermo, Simone Nicoletta, Valeria Serangeli,.

He was acted as the first clarinet of the ITALIAN CLARINET CONSORT and invited to participate in the recording “Tribute to HENGHEL GUALDI” and perform in the New Year’s concerts of Teatro Bonci, Teatro Mentore, Luciano Pavarotti, Todi Municipal Opera, etc. for several years, also have been featured on the Italian national radio and television channel RAI3.

He was also invited to perform in the 29th Camerino Music Festival, the MUSIMONDI Festival in Italy, the opening ceremony of the International Clarinet Association’s “2015 International Clarinet Festival,” and “China Yangqin High-End Forum” of the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, among other major events.

Xuanti Qiu has won many competitions included the second prize in the first concorso nazionale di esecuzione musicale “i nuovi talenti” del clarinetto, the first prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso in Vienna, the first prize in the Golden Classical Music Grand Prix in New York, the second prize in the International Music Grand Prix in Valencia, and the third prize in the LCMC London Classical Music Grand Prix.
