Roberto Stuffo
Roberto Stuffo studied at “N. Paganini” Conservatory in Genoa and obtained the academic degree of II level in saxophone and clarinet with full marks. Afterward he had degrees in saxophone at the Royal Academy of Music in London (UK), a doctorate fellowship at the Trinity College and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama both in London and a degree in “Methodology and teaching of saxophones” at the Helvetic Music Institute (S.S.P.M.) of Bellinzona (Switzerland). He was awarded in some music contest such as: “Absolute first prize” at the International Saxophone Contest in Chiavari (2006); “First prize” at the 6th Young Musicians International Musical Contest of Cervo (2007); “First prize” at the 1st International musical contest at the Valle dell’Erro (Savona) in soloist category (2008); “First prize” at the 1st International musical contest at the Valle dell’Erro (Savona) in chamber music category (2008); “Absolute first prize” at the 2nd International contest at the Valle dell’ Erro (SV) chamber music category (2010); “First prize” at the 2nd International music contest at the Valle dell’Erro (Savona) in soloist category (2010). He collaborates with the Orchestra of the University of Piedmont Orientale, with the saxophone quartet “SaxUpo”,and with the wind instruments Orchestra “A.Forzano” as saxophone soloist. At the present he is Music professor of Clarinet at Secondary School of Varazze “Nelson Mandela” and Professor of Clarinet and Saxophone at the Music Academy of Savona.
