Education: Bachelor of Art in Music in 1981 from the University of Delaware and a Masters degree from University of Akron in 1983. Studied composition at the Grove School of Music in 1989.

Rick Rossi, multi-woodwind instrumentalist has been nominated for a Grammy Award 3 times in the Jazz Saxophone category, winning one in 2000. Rick plays all of the saxophones, flutes and clarinets and is a multi-talented performer, composer and arranger. He has composed and arranged music for film and television soundtracks as well as for various artist, bands and CD projects such as The Brian Setzer Orchestra and a Grammy-nominated composition for the P.Rainey Coalition. Besides his own recordings, he has appeared on TV shows like The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, The Jimmy Kimmel Show, Regis and Kathie Lee, Good Morning America, MTV and VH-1.
He has played many famous venues around the world with legendary artists such as Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Bobby Caldwell, Cher, Brian Setzer Orchestra and Shakira. His most recent film works include blockbuster features: “Monster-In-Law”, “Wedding Crashers” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”and many more.
