Michael Rosen is a woodwind specialist who has made a career out of performing in pit orchestras for Broadway musicals. Michael has performed at regional theaters in New York and Colorado and toured the United States and Canada. Michael toured internationally with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast taking him to Asia, Europe, The Middle East and Africa. Previous tours include: Elf, Man of La Mancha, Shrek, Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone, A Christmas Carol and Bye Bye Birdie. Michael is currently on tour playing Reed 1 for the 2016/2017 Broadway tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

Most recently Michael performed for the Prebroadway engagement of Frozen the musical playing Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon and Bari Sax for the seven week run in Denver.

Michael has taught music lessons privately and to groups both large and small. Michael also taught in the classroom setting as a long term substitute band director. When he isn’t touring, Michael is available to teach flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, voice and piano.
