"The Légère Oboe reed is the most important change in my almost 30 years of professional oboe career. I’m totally convinced that this is what thousands of oboists have been dreaming of all these years, at least I have. It changed the way I play now. The sound is warm, round, beautiful and the start of a sound is as easy as on flute. It is always ready to play and it does it amazingly. It is always ready to play."- Marek

Marek Roszkowski is considered one of the best Polish oboists. He obtained his musical training at the Academy of Music in Katowice and completed his postgraduate studies diploma (with distinction) at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under the guidance of his musical master, Robin Canter. For many years, he appeared at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, in London, performing many solo concerts by famous composers. In two celebrations of the Lutoslawski Forum Festival at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, he appeared in a performance of Vaughan Williams’ Oboe Concerto and Lutoslawski concerto for oboe and harp, while at the Mozart Festival organized at the Royal Castle in Warsaw he gave several performances of W.A. Mozart’s Oboe Concerto.

Krystian Zimerman, one of the world’s most prominent pianists, personally selected Marek Roszkowski as first oboist for his Polish Festival Orchestra. Together, they gave many concerts in the best-known concert halls of the world, such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Salle Playel in Paris and Cornegie Hall in New York City. They also recorded F. Chopin’s two Piano Concertos for Deutsche Grammophon. As a solo performer, he regularly records film music, plays with jazz musicians such as pianist Krzysztof Herdzin, sax player Grzech Piotrowski and many others.
