Artem Golodnyuk
Artem Golodnyuk is a leading Ukrainian saxophonist, winner of international competitions, official artist of Selmer Paris in Ukraine. Works in various musical directions and styles.
He received his musical education at V. Zaremba Khmelnytsky Music School (class of V. Repetsky, 2002-2005), as well as in Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, graduated with a master’s degree and assistant-internship (class of associate professor M. Mimrik, 2005-2013)
From 2007 to 2019 Artem Golodnyuk worked as a member of the National Presidential Orchestra of Ukraine as a soloist and artist of the orchestra. Together with the band he had many performances at various festivals, including the XXIV International Festival of Contemporary Music “Contrasts” (Lviv, 2018), the International Festival Porto Franko Gogol Fest (Ivano-Frankivsk, 2016-2018); collaborated with famous musicians (Brian Connolly, Caleb Brinkley) during the tour of the United States Air Force Band in Europe – Kyiv, 2018. He also performed as a soloist with the Kyiv Chamber, Khmelnytsky Symphony Orchestra, Kyiv saxophonists quartet.
Artem Golodnyuk has participated in master classes of the world’s leading saxophonists, such as Daniel Gauthier, Jean Denis Michat, Christian Wirth, Claude Delangle, Arno Bornkamp, Margarita Shaposhnikova.
He is a member and co-founder of the New Age quartet (soprano saxophone), the only saxophone ensemble in Ukraine (soprano saxophone). As part of these ensembles he had numerous performances in Ukraine and abroad, in particular he represented Ukraine at the International Congress of Saxophonists (Zagreb, Croatia 2018).
Artem Golodnyuk is a member of the trio VoiceSaxPiano, with whom he had concerts in Ukraine and Spain (2018, 2019)
Since 2018 he has been a regular member of LifeOn duo (saxophone, piano). The duo presents music that is rarely performed in this line-up and constantly offers premieres to Ukrainian listeners. The duo performed at major concert venues in the country, including the International Saxophone Music Festival “Vinnytsia Adolphe Sax Festival” – Vinnytsia 2018, IX International Festival “Solar Clarinets” Zhytomyr, 2019 International Festival “Bravo Sax”. – Kyiv, International Chamber Music Festival Khmelnytsky Chamber Festival 2020, and in other cities of Ukraine.
Artem actively collaborates with Ukrainian composers, some of the works were performed for the first time – Volodymyr Runchak Concert for saxophone and orchestra, SAX tete a tete for two; Valeria Vinogradova Cycle “Circle” (as part of the Ukrainian Saxophone ensemble)
Artem is happy to share his performing experience by giving master classes, in particular within the framework of the International Vinnytsia Adolphe Sax Festival and other cities of Ukraine. In 2017 he was invited to the jury of the All-Ukrainian competition of young performers “Horizons of Classics” – Kyiv, All-Ukrainian competition of performers on wooden wind instruments in memory of V. Apatsky, Kyiv 2021, International competition “Solar Clarinets”, Zhytomyr 2021Since 2020 he has been working at the Children’s Academy of Arts named after M.I. Chamberji, Kyiv.
Since 2021 Artem Golodnyuk has been working at Tchaikovsky Kyiv National Music Academy
