Artistic partnerships include Murray Perahia, Leif Ove Andsnes, Angelika Kirchschlager, Julian Rachlin and Yo-Yo Ma. In 2005 Andreas Ottensamer founded the clarinet trio The Clarinotts with his father Ernst and brother Daniel, both solo clarinetists in the orchestra of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic. Several works have been dedicated to the ensemble which has also recorded a CD with Gramola Vienna.
Andreas Ottensamer finds balance to his musical activities through sports: he was a tennis tournament player for many years, and together with his brother, he founded his own football club, the Wiener Virtuosen, in 2007. The team plays very successfully in the Wiener DSG league and even today, the musician travels to Vienna for matches as often as possible.
